Hae Hawaiʻi Sticker
Hae Hawaiʻi Sticker
The Hae Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Flag) is a symbol of the aloha that the people Hawaiʻi have for this ʻāina (land) and for each other. Commissioned by Mōʻī (King) Kamehameha I, the Hae Hawaiʻi contains eight horizontal stripes that represent each of the main Hawaiian islands. The Union Jack in the upper left corner is a reminder of the connections between the British Monarchy and the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi. Today, the Hae Hawaiʻi is a reminder of the strength of our lāhui as it proudly waves in the wind throughout Hawaiʻi.
